So I don’t think that the environment you are storing the amp in is hurting it. It might be worth taking the amp to a tech to have a look. The Fafner I amps are great but they have been discontinued for years. EBS’s effect pedals are designed to meet the challenges created by the bass guitars’ unique frequency range.

(2015-05-08) EBS Red Label, Black Label EBS Fafner Great EBS head, which sounds great in all circumstances. The amp sounds very good clean, but I especially loved to spice things up with the drive function. I used the amp with 8ohm and 4 ohm cabs, but it goes as low as 2ohms. The amp is in very good used condition.

Since no schematics are available, I'm trying to reverse-engineer the relevant sections to identify the broken- and suspect components.
